East Germany DDR and Germany Mix of Modern Used - somewhat sorted by designs and placed on black plastic cards, but about 1/3 of lot remains unsorted with potentially better stamps. Seems to be mostly from the 1950s/1980s period with several hundreds (looks like 500-700), like going through a treasure box, simply not enough time to properly sort. |

Germany Post War Occupation Covers - An interesting group of five covers all with Allied Military Government issues from 1946. The story of why these covers exist is also interesting, the collector was in Germany just after the war and he specialized in this issue. He had covers made up and cancelled on different dates and in different towns in the hope of finding perf, paper and shade varieties. Each cover has about nine different stamps all AMG issues and includes cancels from Stuttgart and Dachau. Interesting reference and study material. |

USA Semi-official Airmail Stamps - Here is a lovely mint selection of these scarce and seldom offered stamps that were released in the early 1980s. In fact, this is the complete collection including Burlington Northern #1-6, American Express #1-3 (as well as the rare #2b), Prompt Response #1-7, and finally Western Airletter #1-16. The first two Western Airletter stamps are also provided in full sheets as an added bonus. These interesting issues paid for expedited mail delivery service in the U.S. when the above mentioned companies undertook a joint venture. The stamps are listed and described in the Sanabria specialized airmail catalogue. Condition is VF NH mint and the catalogue value is U.S. $450.75. This is a scarce collection (some of the stamps had less than 3,000 printed); it will make a great addition to your collection. |
